This high quality IC socket is strongly recommended for securely mounting a MicroBridge PIC onto a PCB. It will allow the safe removal and insertion onto the MicroBridge PCB, and will also avoid the need to solder the MicroBridge pins (which may become damaged from heat during soldering).
